💾 Why File Management Matters
File management is the backbone of your Petal Pages workflow. Before you even receive your first customer order, it’s important to set up a clear folder structure on your desktop. This keeps every digital asset—customer photos, mirrored projects, and printable grids—organized and easy to find. By starting organized, you’ll avoid mix-ups, save time, and ensure that each customer’s custom-printed rose petal appliqués are handled with care and consistency.
Step 1 — Desktop File Management
Step 1 – YouTube Tutorial
Create a Master Folder
On your desktop, create a folder called PetalPages
Create Your Order Folders
Inside your Petal Pages folder, make a folder for each order
Use this format: Order Number – Customer Name

Download & Save Customer Photos

Download and move them into the correct order folder in your Petal Pages Folder on your desktop.
Rename Each Image
Use the same naming format as the folder + sequence numbers
Example:

✅ This keeps every order clearly labeled and organized
✨ Why Adobe Express?
For PetalPages, we’ve chosen Adobe Express as the creative hub. It works much like Canva, but with a stronger free platform and better built-in editing tools. Most importantly, Adobe Express allows me to share ready-made templates directly with you — so you can start creating without designing from scratch. All you need is a free account (just an email sign-up, no paid plan required).

If correct, load specialty Petal Pages paper and print again.
Note the page length:
Petal Pages sheets are intentionally longer than standard paper.
Don’t try to fill the extra space — it’s a buffer area used during bonding.
Adjust your printer tray to fit the longer page.
Step 5 — Print your Petal Page
Step 6 — Bonding your the Petal Pages and how to apply the appliqué.
Step 6 – YouTube Tutorial
Align adhesive sheet to printed sheet:
Place the printed sheet with the blank gap at the top.
Take your adhesive sheet and peel back just a small strip of the clear protective film from the top.
Line up the exposed sticky edge with the blank gap of the printed sheet.
Press down to secure the top edge in place.
Bond the rest of the sheet:
Slowly peel more of the protective film back a few inches at a time.
Use a squeegee, ruler, or flat edge to smooth the adhesive sheet onto the printed sheet as you go.
Work gradually to avoid bubbles and wrinkles.
Continue until the entire sheet is bonded.
✅ Now your images are sealed and ready to be cut into individual appliqués.
Cutting & Applying the Appliqués
- Use scissors or a precision cutter to cut out each image along the edges.
- Keep the clear protective film intact on each appliqué until you’re ready to apply.
- Choose a clean, dry, fresh rose petal.
Peel off the clear protective film from the appliqué.
Place the appliqué face down on the petal.
Take a saturated paper towel or washcloth and press it firmly onto the backing of the appliqué and hold for about 30 seconds.
After 30 seconds, gently slide or peel the backing away.
If you see wrinkles or bubbles while it’s still wet, smooth them out with your fingers.
Once the appliqué dries, it is fully set.
- ✅ Your rose is now finished with a custom PetalPages appliqué.
